I have not received any problems with this store and the staff other than one time I was given the wrong item and once you walk out your stuck..I mentioned the mix-up to my bud tender/cashier and she made it right with a credit towards the current order!....so I think that the customer service is very good and helpful!

Crystal was the rudest cashier I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. No greeting, no smile asks me over and over about the add on when I say NO. I don't have extra money for add ons! No bag, I been coming here a long time and they always ask me about loyalty points, nope none of that. Just get a new job, I'd love to have her spot and smile at people.
My experience on 09/01/2023 was WORSE than my WORST at this location! And then I was prevented from telling everyone about how TERRIBLE my experience was because I wasn't allowed to scan the QR code behind the closed doors! I dropped $500 on nine items and the best "deal" they could give me was 10% off TWO of those items!! And this was surprising to me when I arrived to learn they took away any tier discounts for medical patients. They took away ALL reasons to visit this store. 0 stars and I'll be sharing MY TERRIBLE experience with everyone!*** Update: It's been over a week and no one has tried to contact me to make things right. Wow...

I would love to give a five but unfortunately changing the rewards system up from free smoke to just cash off your order has not helped, and as a loyal customer I disagree with this sentiment and I also wholeheartedly believe that this is NOT in the best interest of the customers. I believe this is just another way to save profit margins. You are getting plenty of tax money from all of us. If you actually have it broken down in numbers plain for us to see that would be cool. I bought 7g of shake from them, I left the place a few minutes before they closed, I got home only to find I was sold 3g, i immediately took a few pictures and reached out the next day only to be told to email them and then getting a reply that “ Due to not being able to provide substantial proof of the shortage, we have to deny the request” when I was never told what to supply in the first place. Never again. **UPDATE** I spoke with Amber and they offered to correct my order, I spoke with Anna at the store and they were very professional and kind and helped me quickly. Thank you very much.✨
Great customer service and friendly workers. Only two med curbside pickup parking spots. Not a lot of the main strains either but I’m from Chicago so I’m use to variety. Overall great place and no issues from me.
Dispensary is in a perfect location and I enjoy their products, but sometimes their staff is downright moody and don't seem to want to be there. You would think that considering the product they sell they would be much more friendly. Despite this, I still remain very polite during my interactions and the transaction process with them.I am also unsure why they charge a $3 fee for debit cards; I’ve only seen that for credit cards in the past. I could withdraw my money elsewhere for free to pay, which is what I’ll do for next time.
During the height of the pandemic, this was one of the only places that felt organized and safe to be at. The people rock; always so nice and chipper - I've been helped by Nikkie a lot and she's just the best - always a pleasure. 10/10 would recommend.
I love my experience at Ascend- downtown in Springfield Illinois. I get a single joint almost daily and the great folks there recognize my face, call me by my name and in general give great service. Nikkie and Sonny are two that I’d like to mention. Both are always so kind and helpful and make me feel like part of the family. I’ve been treated very well by them and they both give great service. KUSHIO and the staff downtown have been amazing! I’ve seen an amazing improvement in customer service and the care they give to the medical patient community as well. Originally I was just not satisfied here but over the last 2 months they’ve proven they’re BETTER than their competitor in many ways. I am a medical patient, so I have to use the downtown location. This can be inconvenient at times, but the staff more than makes up for it with their kindness, speed, and accuracy. Nikkie is one employee I remember as being knowledgable and very helpful when I go. They sometimes don't have everything in stock due to supply chain issues, but I find the best way to get what I need is place an online order for pickup.
Love coming to the downtown location and seeing Kelly Northrop she is always so friendly and kind she makes my whole day better! Very helpful and knowledgeable when I have any questions!!

We found everything to be better than another company we were using on the North side of town that would send you ought to go find money because the ray Tim's never worked it became so dangerous to go there oh there and I'm sure everybody in Springfield knows what I'm talking about and then they opened up a big fancy went down in an old theater Where there's plenty of parking and it is not for medical people they just don't have anything right at the other company that's why we chose Ascend as the place we now use .

Great product very nice ppl inside. But when I walk up to the building there's 2 what look to be homeless ppl outside and they ask for money. Well I said I couldn't and the guys started cursing at me and said I wasn't God like. It had this whole "I'm gonna get robbed" feeling. It's happened every time I've been there. Just doesn't feel safe.
Got their stuff together. Great easy of ordering. In and out in no time now. Great job with the changes. Keep up the good work. For medical patients they offer drive up service which is fantastic.

Changed my order due to no longer having the product I wanted without telling me. Just got home to find I paid less for something completely different. I even brought up the price to the cashier at check out and that I thought it was wrong and she told me I just hadn’t figured in the taxes. I’m so salty about my experience. These people don’t care if you’re getting the right order. They just want to get you out of there as fast as possible. The one on Horizon Dr has treated me better. Unfortunately the downtown one is closer to my home.
Great quality but prices seem abit steep. I've bought weed fro other states (legally) and Illinois def takes the cake on price. If ascend knocked like $15 across the board itd be more reasonable. Price doesn't match quantity.

If you use the their loyalty program points they will not let you use any other discounts, not even my veteran discount.I purchased the same four items two weeks apart and the price was different, when I inquired as to why, the curbside lady said that they stopped “stacking” discounts. Her words not mine “stacking”. To me that is earning the discounts not stacking them.

Great selection of products and amazing staff! In my recent past few trips I have had the pleasure of meeting a new staff member named Oz, he always greets with a warm welcome, helps me with recommendations. Having staff that helps and cares about helping medical patients makes Ascend stand out.
The prices are absolutely outrageous. The security is good, felt like I was trying to gain entry to an FBI building or something. But the prices... I just can't get over how expensive it was. The price here was 40% higher than the dispensary I have previously used in my last city of residence. Keep in mind... they are both in Illinois. So why would there be such a massive disparity? I could drive 75 miles north to my previous city, drive back. And STILL save money! Even with the gas prices where they are.
Great service. Everyone, from the security guard to the customer service representative, was kind and informative. I usually go to the Ascend on Horizon but I think the one downtown will be my new dispensary.
The Curbside service for Medical Cannabis Patients at Ascend Downtown is exceptional! Brady is usually the Curbside Budtender to take care of me and is always, fast, friendly and courteous! Thanks to Ascend for continuing to run the curbside... this busy mom appreciates it!
Id give it more stars except the prices are a little too high on some things for my liking. The vape I bought lasted me about two days and I barely even used it. It was a huge waste of money IMO. But the workers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I will still continue to use this place. I haven't bought enough products to personally give them much more of a review.

I have a medical card and usually for medical purposes and I was traveling through the area and asking them medical questions and they were answering them as if they were qualified only to tell me later that Illinois itself is not equipped to deal with it and that they cannot actually answer my questions even though they provided answers that led to me buying things originally things that I feel like I would not have bought if they did not answer those questions this bit of Miss advertisement Has left a bad taste in my mouth because if you're willing to say anything to get a sale you have to be willing to deal with those consequences the weed did not help me for my medical needs because it wasn't the kind I needed and I wasn't supply the truth even on the basic level about information on what I was purchasing they told me anything to get the sale and I needed pertinent information 🥺😭

I wanted to smoke for recreational purposes but when they added tax I needed it for medical reasons! It's only legal because you pay the fine every time. Also, the place reminded me of the DMV. Not at all what I was expecting.
Ascend was my first dispensary visit in Illinois, though I've been to others outside of Illinois. Ascend had a large selection to choose from, but you have to go through a sales associate to search. If I went back, I would just check out what you want on your phone and do an online purchase. Everyone was really friendly and knowledgeable so that was helpful. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again!
Staff is great, but so are the staff in most cannabis stores. However, this store holds a terrible and ever decreasing supply. Overpriced and they barely have any of their own stock, let alone any stock. I like the people but after 2 years of watching their supplies. It is clear, there are many better places to shop then here.
Great dispensary.. however closing at 7pm when you have visitors from out of town who get off work at 5pm doesnt work well. Rec is open til 9pm why?! Not fair to medical patients at all ! Let us pick up online orders at rec location after 7pm or something!

I placed a online order for Ascend on Adams street for April 21st. They filled this in no time at all. The staff is amazing, friendly and so helpful. I really liked this store better as opposed to the one on Horizon . There is so much more here and the choices are amazing. Lots of edibles here as well as accessories. I can't say enough how much of a fantastic experience today was . This will be my go to store from now on.
You will not find a place where the workers care more about you. They really truly want you to have a good experience. I had troubles getting my card approved (state fault) they helped me submit a new pic for my card, emailed the state many times to make sure it was taken care of.The workers are always smiling, they really do go above and beyond.I will never go anywhere else, simply for the staff alone ❤
I've shopped at this store on multiple occasions but from here on taking my business elsewhere. I purchased flower and was given an empty jar. Employees were polite. They gave me an email to send pictures to so they can file a refund request to the cultivator. It took 2 attempts to get the correct email but again the ladies I spoke to got me taken care of and were polite about the process. When I got rejected by the cultivator for a refund, I called the store again. The manager informed me that they have a no refund policy and apologized.The customer service is good. But a smile and a soft tone doesn't change the fact that I was essentially robbed.Maribus will show you the product you're purchasing before handing it to you and will correct their mistakes. I recommend shopping there as it is a safer experience.Buyer beware.

Their website is always updated to what they have available and very in depth description for most products. You are treated very well and they answer any questions you might have. I drive 1 hour just for this store. Love the way I'm treated and the products are amazing and the prices are fair to the quality.

Update : Friendly, professional staff with knowledge to back it up. I went here the opening week and oh man was it chaotic. They have had time to figure things out. I still think the prices are higher than the weed could get you but at least they are fixing things they have more control over.

Horrible experience will NEVER go here again - waited in line for over 45 min. the 4 people in front of me all had problems with their orders. I was told I never placed an order and the employee was really rude about it as he was rude to the customers in front of me. I showed them the email & the conformation number. I was then told they didn’t have what I ordered. And I needed to make another order & if I wanted anything else I would have to go to the back of the line. Waste of time.

This place has a pleasant user experience. Order online, pick a time, go pick it up and pay. One you arrive, it is fairly simple and fast. The facility is very nice and usually has plenty of parking on the street near the shop. Definitely recommend them!

Being a medical patient, it is important to know from what strains I am purchasing. When going inside ISP, the technicians are well informed, knowledgeable and polite. However, I prefer to order online and pickup curbside. I do not like the new online menu at all. It doesn’t give enough information about the products as the previous online menu did. Example: the effects...calm, happy, relaxed, pain relief and sleepy. Some products have an “n/a” next to them, therefore, you don’t know what you’re getting.PLEASE....bring back the old menu or improve the one you have giving us more information.Thank you.

This establishment has amazing customer service there was so many issues with a pre-paid credit card i was having and through all 6 transaction tries that they knew the money was on there for not one employee rushed or got aggravated as me by the situations just calm and amazingly helpful and tried figuring out the whole problem with me thank you guys your wonderful and will always have my business i do wish i could have got the tiger piss flower because we left and the card went through just fine at the gas station. Strains are correctly categorized so you can always find something to suit your needs/wants. Product itself is fresh and top quality. Everyone there is so friendly, kind, and helpful. Weston was especially wonderful and had a lovely energy. It was nice to chat with someone who was so happy because I had an especially rough day at work. Upon arrival to the location I was met at the door specifically by two security Guards. In my opinion, I feel that they were rude to me. They immediately asked me if I ordered online(not in a very nice way) Before I was able to say anything, One of the security guards Said "He didn't order online" With force in his voice Giving me the opinion that he was being overly aggressive with me for no reason...I couldn't help wondering why... Luckily, The host that came was a nice guy... He treated me with respect. All the other staff as well we're pretty nice Except for the Security guards....They just need to change back to the other guards..They were more Professional.... Moving on To my next concern.... The Flower doesn't seem to be really the weigh whats labeled. I can't wait until they come down on prices or give you The product that you would normally get for the same price in other Legalized states. Also, it does not seem to be an accurate/ adequate percentage inside of the Products.

I got some white widow shake when i seen it on the menu it said 24 percent. I ordered an eighth and when i arrived the cashier asked if they let me no about the substitution. No i wasn't. Well they gave me a quarter instead. When i got home i realized thw percentage was 16percent. Not what was on the menu. As i look at the menu again today the white widow shake is there once again. This time 21percent. Very upset with the product ..
Staff is friendly. The experience is not, I reserved a specific kind of bud that they replaced with a strain I was avoiding because it’s full of seeds and doesn’t sell well. I know this because it’s the only bud consistently on the menu not being sold. Animal cookies OG from here is not better than mid off the street for triple the cost. Buyer beware
First I bought a disposable pen and it does on me halfway through the product great thing is the replaced it I was happy then that pen died in me about the same time I wasn’t to upset because at that point I had about a full pens worth through the two, then I went ahead and bought an 1/8 of BB headband super seedy first small nug I broke into had 4 seeds I’ve yet to see the rest but I’m expecting the same because others have told me about all the seeds they find in their Batches that they have had. But the thing that really sent me to the edge is my favorite strain showed up on the menus I was excited so I decided to wake up at 630am to be the first one to order because I’ve watched this one run out in a hour. So I get my order reserved and my time reserved for a little in the afternoon then I get a texts about 3 hours later saying they ran out of my product select a new one! I guess when you reserve something they sell it under you no matter what they say if it’s not paid for then they can’t hold it yet they don’t give an option to pay online so that should be an invalid argument! But I digress and all in all this has caused me to give a 1 star review because I feel like that was a terrible business plan and a great way to lose customers I’m very very upset and will probably never go back because I’m tired of dealing with bad businesses so please heed my warning and avoid this place unless you want tons of seeds and to be ripped off more than some sketchy dealer on the street!!!
Amazing service. Everyone is friendly, respectful and puts 100% into their job. Every-time I’ve been there I feel like they’re family and welcome. It’s very hard to find a business where everyone is positive all the time.
Pick a time avoid the line is complete bs! Even if you have reservations there you still have to wait in a line out the door! You need to allow online payment options so pick up is faster. Pick up shouldn’t take this long. It should be like going through the McDonald’s drive through.
Very professional staff very orderly and clean you can expect to wait in line. You NEED TO KNOW WHAT YO YOU WANT before you get there. Cool place.
They are a lot better since day one. Friendly staff, quick lines. The prices are high but that won’t be fixed for awhile.
The line moves so slow there’s no reason for it. The bud tenders need to keep the line moving and stop trying to describe weed to old ladies like they’re making a life changing decision it’s just weed stop spending 20 min on one customer especially when those customers will never be back. The medical Monday’s is also a terrible idea med patients can get their weed from multiple places and cut the rec line there’s no reason to give them an entire day as well.

Longest I've had to wait was 45 minutes from front door to getting my order. Everything I've purchased has been to my liking. Just watch out for the hustlers downtown- they know what's in that cute white paper bag you are toting. Cash and weed- a crooks dream!
Of all the shops in Illinois I've been too this is by far the slowest and most expensive one. Last time I was here I made a complaint that my express order took longer to fill that people hitting the sales floor. It took about 30 minutes for me to get out of the store with an order I had made hours earlier. The staff made it abundantly clear to me that my opinion as a medical customer doesn't matter to them. Medical patients beware of no parking, long waits and staff that only cares about getting your money.
As it was my first time going to the shop the website said it opened at 9AM so i tried to call at 9:30am to ask about in-stock flowers available for purchase before i drove an hr. I called 16 times no answer. So i just browsed through the website and it showed 5 strains of flower so i made the drive. When i arrived they only had 3 strains of flower and none were on the website! That was disappointing but none the less i ended up buying an 1/8 of the Rock Candy OG! I paid $70 and was very satisfied with the herb i will go back for more! Staff was very nice and organized! Nice service tasty buds!!!!!!
Clean, friendly and organized! The staff members were very helpful and fun to be around, they did a great job of making sure everyone was comfortable, they had iPads with menus, pricing and pictures on them. The security was also very friendly and non threatening, I felt safe and relaxed at all times. Product selection was somewhat limited but what can you expect from a blossoming company? I was in and out within 20 mins and they had menus, water bottles, chill music, smoking provisions, restrooms and TVs that previewed what was to come. Products were only about $7-$10 more than what you might be used to paying. Tax was also about 20% come with your state ID on you and have it ready at all times. All and all very happy I had my first recreational buying experience here!

Not ready for consumers, offering extremely limited menu in a dreary retail atmosphere. They had enough time to be better prepared. Grow your own should be the law.

Everyone there is knowledgeable and extremely patient and helpful. I had never used cannabis before so I had/ have a lot of questions. The dispensary is clean , organized, and inviting. I'm happy I chose them when I got my medical card.
My first overall impression was “what a nice place”. Staff was cheerful and helpful getting me registered as new patient. Discovered early on though that product knowledge was in short supply. (Do they even try this stuff?) They were as helpful as an iPad can be but I didn’t get much useful info. (But I’ve been in retail, they’re only as good as their training) Nice selection. Pricey though.

Staff is very helpful and they usually have a solid inventory for concentrates
The staff is great, helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the Express Order Program. Every since they changed their app a few months back, I have not been able to do ANYTHING but look, can't register, can't plug-in, can't order. If I could get the darn thing to work, I'd give 5 stars. A few people at HCI have tried to load the app, no success.
