We also are looking to help create the change in the state of Illinois that the newly established law allows for. With so many people having been negatively impacted in the past due to the war on drugs, we are looking to help reverse some of these negative impacts through our hiring practices. If you have a previous arrest, charge, conviction, etc. for something that is eligible for expungement under the new law, it is to your benefit to disclose this information, but it is not a requirement if you do not feel comfortable doing so. Further, those who have lived in areas designated by the state of Illinois as disproportionately impacted for 5 or more years, disclosing that information is also to your benefit, but again not required.
