We are a financially-backed craft grower applicant seeking a Packaging Manager to help support a qualified cultivation and product manufacturing team. Our proposed facility is conveniently located in Elgin, Illinois.

Our mission is to provide consumers with distinct cannabis product offerings that were developed with care and precision, love for the plant, environmental consciousness, and science-backed, clean cultivation technology. We are building a business for long term success that will sustain itself when supply and demand inevitably reach an equilibrium.

The Packaging Manager will collaborate with the cultivation and extraction teams to oversee packaging-related operations at the company’s planned facility in Elgin, Illinois. As the company grows, the Packaging Manager will be deeply involved in the training and education of the packaging team staff members as well as in the continual process of reviewing operating procedures, guidelines, and policies. This position, which is conditional upon being awarded a craft grower license, includes a competitive salary and success-based incentives. We are seeking someone with at least 1 year of commercial cannabis experience involving packaging.

The Packaging Manager will:

Comply with all state and local laws and company SOPs, Policies, codes of conduct, and emergency and safety procedures. The Packaging Manager will be responsible for the consistent, sanitary and safe packaging of marijuana products utilizing company policies to successfully uphold quality and consistency of all products handled.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately weigh, package, and count all forms of concentrate

Accurately record all required information on batch records

Ensure that all forms of packaging and labels being used are correct and compliant

Consistently meet packaging quota

Package product following a specific set of instructions

Maintain a clean work space

Identify and remove poor quality or nonconforming product

Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $35.00 /hour

Experience:

  • Packaging: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
