DRACUT — An abundance of natural lighting and views of thick woods beyond might not be what customers expect the first time they step off an elevator and onto the second floor of an industrial building Broadway Street, not far from Interstate 93.
But the space at 61 Silva Lane is undergoing a transformation that will bring the feel of the natural world to the interior of what will become the town’s third marijuana dispensary. Elements of the finished space already in place are displays of white birches, a stage for pop-up concerts and artwork that says “fun.”
New England Craft Cultivators co-owners Wes Ritchie and Ture Turnbulll are building out the space and are planning a soft opening for their Tree House Craft Dispensary on Oct. 28.
They must first do some hiring. So on Tuesday, the company is holding a job fair from 3 to 7 p.m. at its Silva Lane premises. They are expecting to hire up to 24 employees in various positions. Experience in the cannabis industry is not required for many of the jobs.
