UPDATE: Not only do they not honor discounts, but they have ZERO customer service. I talked to 2 separate people about this, neither followed through and got back to me. I hope the $9 was worth losing my business, I'll be going back to Rise....Recently switched here, but going to be switching right back. Didn't get a discount on a product that I bought 4 of, which they claimed is because I got a lesser discount. 1. I thought you get the better of the 2 discounts, and 2. The receipt shows I paid full price. So, I didn't get any discount. Wasn't really a huge amount, but not the point, and obviously it was too much for them to correct. Would NOT have bought 4 if I knew I was paying full price. Most likely won't be back...

I was forced to check my bag at the door with all my medication, phone, keys, etc. I asked why? Man at front said no bags allowed in the store and that I can remove my wallet and go inside, and because I was a male I have to follow different instructions than women with purses that contained nothing more than an average purse. I was then forced to empty my bag at the front desk in front of other guests, totally embarrassing me in the process. After I entered threw women followed in, purse in hand. Why were they not made to check their bag at the door and enter with only their wallet. The two gentlemen working the desk on August 4, 2023 were beyond rude.

I have very much appreciated his recommendations because he pays attention to your budget, while also finding you exactly the product you want to match the mood or effect you’re after. I’d highly recommend you ask for him if you can get him and be as direct about what you want as possible. He’ll find what you need. Also, this would be a fun challenge to him especially if you got super super specific and he had to really really know the full details, meanings, and effects of the catalog they have on hand at Zen Leaf which is also an excellent establishment. Update June 2023:I've gone back to this place a couple of times since my issues back in the spring and things seemed to have improved with regards to the Medical line, although it's still hidden in the back, the people running the counters have been much better about calling over medical patients. Still not perfect but certainly WAY better than it was.Edit 4/22/23Went here again Saturday, in the afternoon to pick up medical supplies. Literally one person working medical counter.I was next med patient in-line. Rec line took like 4 people in front of me. When the girl at the Med counter finally called me up, I mentioned to her that I don't like how last several times I've been here that the medical line gets forgotten. She just smiled and said "sorry I guess they all happen to be on break at same time 🙄🤦♂️"I guess this place and the employees don't understand that ILLINOIS LAW requires all Medical patients to be treated FIRST. I'm not some 20y.o. looking to get "stoned" I'm a medical patient picking up my supplies. Seems like this place doesn't value their medical patients so I'm gonna look for another medical dispensary I can go to that will actually follow ILLINOIS LAWS.-------I've been going to this dispensary since it was at the other location in 2020 but didn't start going here regularly till the last few months since I got my medical card.This location is nice and bright. Brand new and squeaky clean. Well except for the dusty Verano merch out front that no one wants to buy.Their pricing is decent but not the best I've seen. Luckily they have a rewards program and constantly have sales going on, so its a wash.One issue that I have a lot when I come here is that the MEDICAL counter is always understaffed and since the medical line is BEHIND the rec line, the Medical like gets forgotten. Why they put it in the back is beyond me. Causes confusion and means that the rec people are constantly cutting in line in front of the MEDICAL users that are there to get their meds. So this is super disappointing.In the end it's a decent rec shop if you're in the area but I don't feel like a valued MEDICAL client there.

I drove 30 minutes to pick up my order only to find out what I wanted wasn’t actually available, and now they don’t even take debit card.. so I had to leave to get cash to pay for an alternate product I didn’t even want. It’s always something with this location, huge waste of my time.. AGAIN. You’re better off driving to Sunnyside.

The man behind the register had an awesome vibe, the place looks stunning too. They have a good variety of products too!I highly recommend ordering online. You select each item you want from home, then head to the store to pay there. Way easier, less line hold-up too.Only complaint would have to be the prices. Even with a medical card, you're paying $30 for 100mg worth of edibles. Not terrible, but a bit pricey. I go to this dispo all the time. I used to go to a competitor in Addison but the drive was crazy for a selection and price. This is only a few miles from my house and I have had great experiences here EVEN when things have gone wrong they have been resolved without an issue. I am a medical patient so waiting is never a problem. Stock is also usually not a problem. I get what I like. Kris and Alison are two of the best employees out there. Putting in the hard work and paying attention to their jobs and servicing loyal customers such as myself. Cant ask for better service than when I go in to this store.

My bud tender, Dillon, provided exceptional customer service. I had a multi-item order and he carefully went over each item and answered any questions I had. He assisted me in finding a nice glass piece for a promotion the store is running and even offered to wrap it up for me. He expressed appreciation for a cash tip and offered friendly conversation while we waited for a manager to assist. Dillon gets a 10/10.Zen Leaf was great, as usual. They did send out notification of these changes ahead of time but their lack of product in stock prohibited me from using my points before the switch. Furthermore, the prices are consistently higher than other providers in the area. I would not recommend this provider and going forward will use another.Check out Natures Care in Rolling Meadows for a more diverse product line and cheaper costs....

Every trip is like waiting in line for bread in soviet Russia. Ever since the move, lines have been at least an hour and a half every time I've visited. Even 1 pm on a Thursday. If there's a good time to be here, I haven't found it.This place either needs to hire more staff or organize their business in a way that processes customers efficiently. The first 45 minutes you're waiting outside, and come February, I am absolutely not putting up with that garbage.Staff are nice enough, but the atmosphere is tense because their system here is generally awful.

I was the primary security consultant for the state of Illinois medical pilot program and have worked in both medical and rec industries across the states and EU. First time, the attendant was rude. Today I walked out, didn’t purchase because of an attendant being rude. For an industry that outpaced the phone in its growth you’d think people would be pleasant and professional. I’ll happily drive the five miles to a competitor. Additionally, the selection lacks. Shop elsewhere.

However, when a 15-minute wait turns into 50 minutes because medical customers are allowed to keep cutting in line, there's a problem with your system. I hope you can solve this in the new location. Both Rec and Med customers deserve respect, and quite frankly It's gotten pretty disrespectful for REC here, when you compare wait times.

This place is the worst. Don't spend your money here. Find another place. They store everything incorrectly, and don't care. Literally store concentrates on their side. That way a bunch gets wasted on the lid. They let things get warm and melt that shouldn't. Their edibles are always damaged. They have screwed up my order for the 5th and last time. If you have ever gotten a messed up order then you understand the hassle to try to get replacement. I got credit for 3g of PTS concentrate which I bought on saleNow can't get 3g for the amount of credit, can barely get 1. Guess now I just gotta wait or just be screwed. They even put up their own sign showcasing the concentrates they way they look after they have damaged them saying this is normal. Go to Windy City, at least they know how to store and handle the product. And Windy City has never messed up my order.

First off they scanned my ID outside. Then they asked ME and only ME my zip code. Then inside they scanned it again and proceeded to only ask me my age and zip code. It's a valid driver's license. I felt like I was being profiled on how I look. Secondly make sure you read the 'specials' 60 dollars each isn't 60 dollars out the door like other locations. I'd avoid going to this one in the future. Staff isn't friendly like the other locations and it's small and cramped inside.

During that time I walked into the building 3 times to check in on the progress to get my simple $10 in change back. Instead of trying to help me get to the bottom of this situation, Vanessa decided it was appropriate to threaten me with security and said I wasn’t allowed to be upset with the fact that I had been waiting for almost 30 mins to get my $10. She didn’t even try to ask why I was upset. She just accused me of being unreasonable and kept telling me I’m on camera. Even when I tried to talk to a different employee she would answer for them and just brush me off like me having to wait a half hour for change is acceptable when doing a curbside pick up. Zen leaf...you would be better off without her at the front. She has no idea how to handle disgruntled customers. Also I’m a medical customer there and this is how they treat you. When I spoke to my husband about some thing unrelated to our purchase, the woman behind the counter abruptly scolded us and said we need to step outside if we were going to talk. Seriously? I thought this was a dispensary and not preschool so slow your power trip.Already surprised at the woman behind the counters poor attitude, I’m surprised at the way she spoke to several more people. After about 10 minutes, I decided to walk out. This was so not worth her negative attitude.I understand that there are rules to be followed, but there’s also common courtesy and the unprofessional person behind the counter needs to understand.Additionally, another patron left their medical card. When he asked if it was left behind, the woman behind the counter responded “communication is key in the future”. I’m not sure if she was having a bad night or is always unpleasant, but definitely something that leaves a lasting impression.While you may be the only place in Saint Charles, there are other dispensaries and quite honestly they treat people a little bit better. Learn a little bit about customer service or change your name from Zen Leaf to Bitter Leaf!

With it being legal now for recreation I payed this place a visit to see what it was all about. my first time was just awkward to me but the staff made it very easy and a great experience. my second visit I dealt with "Ru" and I had quite a few questions and she was so kind to help me decide what was right for me and what I wanted. I’m a medical patient and this is my favorite dispensary. I travel a distance just to come here, as this place always carries the strains and brands that I frequent the most. The check out procedure never takes too long, as they always have plenty of registers open. I appreciate that they prioritize their medical patients during the check-in and check-out process. I like to order online before coming in and, if I am out of my allotment, they will cancel my order and I will be notified to what my current allotment is and prompted to submit my order again. Easy and efficient, no surprises when I get there! I also like their pricing and noticed that with their flower, the taxes are built into the listed price. Another convenience is that you can use a debit card at check out. Staff is always welcoming, kind and courteous.

All I can say is I am impressed with my dispensary, as I was weary of the recreational side, but as a patient I still remain satisfied.I decided to go well before 1600 (4:00pm) today in order to avoid the recreational onslaught, and seeing that as a patient made me realize those aren’t the wisest hours to come here. I had the greatest experience I’ve had here in awhile thanks to David. I know they’re throwing the cards out and everyone is mentioning each other who works here, but this man truly deserves a shout out. I walked in stuck in-between two products, and not only did he know his stuff, he was funny as hell also. We were laughing hard for a bit. I ended up being $2 short on the product I wanted; I swear I had enough in cash but lost it along the way...unless my strategic purchasing plan I had formulated for myself was utterly flawed...but David covered those $2 and I was able to get more medicine. This hits home because I am a veteran living off of VA disability pay at the moment, and money couldn’t be tighter. I’m very thankful you did that for me. $2 seems like $20 to me. It would not have been a big deal if not for covid but it made me a bit nervous standing so close to people in a small room with stagnant air circulation. I was going to order some flower from this place, but cancelled because their ordering system for adult-use is a joke! I placed my order at 8am (that's when ordering opened) but I can't go pick it up until 4pm?! I work 3rd shift so after I placed my order I went to sleep after seeing the confirmation that Zen Leaf received my order and is "VERIFYING". When I woke up at 5pm I checked my order status and it was still verifying! I called and spoke with someone there and they told me what I ordered was sold out. The employee also told me that online ordering for rec use only secured my spot and didn't guarantee product availability. The hell with this!! I cancelled my order and went to Sunnyside in Rockford. At least they have what you order and they are open for rec users 7 days a week open to close. Maybe when they get their sh$t together I'll try again. St Charles and Rockford are about the same distance for me, just in different directions.

Drove out there after a confirmation text to pick up my order, and they decided it was cutoff time while 20 of us were in line with confirmed orders. They pretty much said "tough luck, come back tomorrow" and they won't honor/hold your "confirmed" order for next day. Their wannabe rent-a-cops security try to act like tough guys, which was good for a laugh I guess, but still not worth the wasted trip, lol. There are so many med places going rec now, we shouldn't have to deal with shoddy service. There are cheaper places with the same products, and hassle-free curbside pickup.

Ive hit pretty much all of them by now and Zen Leaf in St. Charles is top 3 stores; but hands down my favorite to go into. Their prices are pretty standard across the board, but they tend to have regular promotions or sales. They are never out of flower; and their loyalty points system is better than any other dispensary. The people that work their are always nice and treat you like family from when you walk in. They also have current menus in store for you while you wait as well as people ready to answer questions and help with your order. Torri has helped me out the last few time ive been in, and has really made the experience go smoother. She has good suggestions and can answer any question i have about the products. One of the best. And if you're looking for a good, potent strain Casey can usually point you in the right direction. All suggestions are hits. Awesome store. Great staff and great products; make it a point to stop in.

First, to have it in the middle of an industrial area with that little space is just unreal and how many wait outside disrupting near by businesses. Secondly, the people at the front need to be more accurate about people’s allowance and or give a rough estimate within or off by 3-4 grams not 10 when I told them i have 17g was available and told me to have a seat I sat there for 29 minutes and no update as to what the problem was and why my quantity was so off that I left frustrated not being informed and I live in Arlington heights so I left and 35 minutes into my drive home I get a call saying it was a state issue. That’s not true because it was my second time there and had just problems and this is not a dispensary you want to go to!! Their point system is unreal. Anyone who really wants a true real experience and well worth the drive is the Arlington heights one who also give SSDI and SSI and veterans discount every time you purchase it’s huge and helps. And if you drive 15 or more miles you get 15 points and 25 points in 2 visits is $10 off then 35 points or 3 drives is $15 off. So ditch this place trust me verilif will change your mind AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS. ALL THEY HAVE IS RUDE PEOPLE AND THE SECURITY GUARD KEPPS GOING IN AND OUT OF THE BACK DOING BUMPS TOO!

You are an amazing customer service representative, and I look forward to being served by you again. I will say that I was supposed to get an order of east coast sour diesel swift lifts instead of super glue swift lifts, which they were out of. My boyfriend called about this and was told through the phone call to text a phone number with the request rather than place another order online. He did so and received a text that a customer service representative was going to make sure they were able to add the change. They never said anything else besides confirming the curbside order time, and I never received the east coast sour diesel swift lifts with my order. I will also say that the assistant manager, Mandie Groves, definitely could have done more to help me in the past. I purchased double barrel cartridges that do not work for a price of over $120 and was only given a 20% discount on Verano cartridges, which aren’t even the cartridges I usually buy. I had spoken with multiple customer service representatives prior who printed out receipts for me, and none of them mentioned a deadline nor that I needed to have the packaging for my bunk product. All they told me was that I needed to have my receipt and take a video explaining what was wrong with the product and send it in, which is exactly what I did. There was also no information online regarding their return policy. Mandie was aware of this lack of information given and truly didn’t seem to care nor be willing to compensate other than a 20% discount on a cartridge that I’m uninterested in. She also never responded to my message I sent about needing help with my curbside pickup order. Tracy Gawron did not respond to my email either. I called and left a voicemail, and Vanessa contacted me shortly after, answering all of my questions in a timely and compassionate manner. Next time, I will definitely be contacting Joe or Nick instead if I need the help of a manager. Otherwise, I have no complaints about Zen Leaf. Great service and great people for the most part, especially Vanessa and Mike G!

Getting a medical card I feel was the best decision I could’ve made for myself post-military. Even though the state’s allotment system is archaic, I can’t help but call it my favorite place in the world. The staff are all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about anything from product to how the system works. Even the security personnel are nice as hell! In the end I’m glad they still maintain their focus on the patient, not an everyday Joe Schmoe recreational joint like Verilife in North Aurora...the curious case of the dispensary that turned its’ back on their patients. After just one trip as a patient to that place, I can definitively tell you that the patient is no longer their priority. A steady cash flow from rec is what they’re all about, and the sheer amount of people they inject into that place reflects the staff’s mostly blunt and bitter attitudes, as well as the N. Aurora cops inside who herd you like cattle. Zen has the biggest selection of product with the most amount of cultivators and variety, from my personal ventures, in the Chicagoland area. I may be wrong, but this place is on top of it’s game, and most importantly, their patients. That goes a long way.

Although the bud tenders are very good people. Corporate Zen leaf is not. They talk about medicine and patients but when there’s the worst flower shortage in the state they jack up all their prices and completely screw over their customers. It kind of reminds me of the guy with the EpiPen’s and takes advantage of people who are in need. They go out of their way to rip you off at any chance they get they will nickel and dime you literally to death. $70 eighths, and $70 grams of concentrate for medical what a bunch of A**holes!!! They lie about everything. I would look elsewhere.

This place is on point!!! So far the absolute best dispensary in Illinois. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable and extremely friendly and welcoming. They respect your knowledge or lack of knowledge with certain products and are always willing to educate their patients and learn themselves to provide the best quality care for us.This is what caring for the patient and not the bottom line looks like. You're dealing with people with medical conditions- not stoners and they're only open from 11-6. Sped their from work. Literally got there at 6:01 & they wouldn't let me pick up my order. Check menu- limited offerings & clearly customer service doesn't make up for it. Super easy to change dispensaries online now thank God.

Been great up until the last couple of months, Don't expect to find more than 2-5 options for flower or concentrate at this location. For some reason the menu at the Chicago location always has way more options. I'm waiting to find out if this is the new normal at the St. Charles location and if it is I will be changing to a different Dispensary. Updated to include that I heard from them today from corporate Zen Leaf that the St. Charles location stock issues are a issue they know about. The supplier for the location is expanding their operations and that is causing issues with them being able to get product. I wish the location would tell me this when I asked two weeks ago about the issue. I will be taking my business elsewhere after using up my rewards.
